Our Workers are trained by our safety director IAW the 29 CFR 1926 & 1910 and other National and State safety and environmental requirements. Our foremen are OSHA10 & 30 hour safety trained and all new workers are safety oriented trained. As part of our apprentice-training program, numerous hours are spent training on both safety and environmental programs As part of the daily toolbox talks and safety inspections, the foremen cover job tasks that will require additional protection.  Workers are required to wear PPE to include eye protection, hearing protection and hard hats as base levels of protection for all our job sites.

Our safety program is focused on keeping our workforce safe.  It also includes consideration for the general public and our valued customers.  Our normal company policy includes the previously mentioned as well as weekly safety meetings (toolbox talks) to be conducted by the onsite foreman and attended by all our onsite employees. If specialized training is needed our Safety Director will conduct the specialized training wherever needed.  The weekly topics are selected and tailored to fit the needs of our crews (by the type job, special needs of the job, whether it’s in shop or warehouse environment, etc) by our corporate Safety Director with input from site foreman, superintendents or Project Managers, Vice President and President of our company. At minimum personnel will train weekly on safety lessons learned and general safety around the work site.

Inspection

Our Company incorporates safety and environmental inspections as part of the daily and weekly site inspections conducted by the Safety Director, Site Foreman, superintendents, and corporate project management. Additionally, excluding the onsite foreman these same individuals visit the sites to conduct unscheduled operations, safety and environmental inspections.

Accident Investigations

All incidents and near misses are investigated. The first level is crew and foreman. Work is temporarily stopped at a safe point and the investigation is normally conducted orally. If deemed worthy of further investigation, a company investigation/report is used for documentation and supervisors are notified. In turn, the Safety Director and the Project Managers are notified. If deemed worthy of further investigation, the Safety Director goes to the site and subsequent findings are reviewed and changes are made immediately to avoid any other safety mishaps.
